Links to other Sites
This page contains links to other web sites. I'm focusing on hard-to-locate resources
or "hub" sites that lead to many good additional options. There is a lot of
overlap between categories, so if you don't find what you need in one category, keep
looking!!
The current categories are:

- The above site, mariamadeline.com,
is a unique site offering and fostering contact between seniors in nursing
homes and children

- The National Catholic Reporter OnLine is an
excellent source for discussions of current Catholic issues.
- CAN - Australia (The Cult
Awareness Network, Australia). The US branch lost to the Scientologists the right to
its
name and phone number in a recent court case. Thus if you call the US branch for
information about a suspected cult, you will be talking to a Scientologist.
- Gale Research, publishers of The
Encyclopedia of American Religions
- The Mining Company lists resources
searched out and rated by their volunteers. Includes fairly specialized information on
various religions.
- National Council of Catholic Bishops / United States
Catholic Conference
- Christianity Net maintains a
large database of churches with a presence on the Internet
- New Religious Movements is an
information site created by Jeffrey K. Hadden of the Department of Sociology at the
University of Virginia. His specialty is in the sociology of religion and his site
includes lecture notes, slides, and a wide range of information.
- Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance.
Volunteers seek to cover a wide range of religious belief systems, with generally good
quality. There are many stances taken that I would strongly disagree with, but this web
site is a unique and helpful resource.

- The Ross Institute for Psychological
Trauma is starting a monthly series of e-mail updates of developments in the field of
trauma.
- Trauma Help
is the official web site of SEMISSD (The Trauma & Dissociation
Study Group of Southeast Michigan, a Chapter of The International Society for the Study of
Dissociation)
- David Balwin's Trauma
Information Pages is an award-winning primary resource for technical information about
trauma-related issues. It is now at a new address and this link will take
you there. Please update your bookmarks. Also, the site also now has the ability to
translate between various languages!!!
